| I think if the allowance was too large the cap would end up being removed and we would be back to a free for all.

| Just give LB a 15% cap allowance and see if they can still make a pig's ear of it.

correct...Twickenham is in Greater London, whilst Hemel is 27 miles away....it would be like me saying that Bradford and Huddersfield are suburbs of Leeds

Er, well maybe for your average commuter, HH isn't particularly nice to live in though the villages around it are nice, however you're effectively saying ALL the players have to live miles away from the club and ask every single one of them to travel at least an hour each way to work (training days as well as match)
That is unreasonable by any way of thinking & unrealistic to ask all your players to commute in from 35 miles away in some low rent apt/house just so that a club has level pegging on the salary cap.
What about the players that already live there(In that there London), you going to ask them to move away so that the Northern clubs don't have a massive financial advantage?

Are you suggesting that the best way for London to attract talent to the capital is by showcasing the number of leafy towns that are actually a 45 minute drive from London

| Well it's quite often stated that the northern clubs benefit from players being able to interchange between any numbers of sides. I'm sure every Yorkshire club, even those in Hull, not to mention the Cumbrians, still have carloads of players travelling up from Lancashire and vice versa. What's the difference?

| Firstly I did not chose HH as a prime London site. It was just the first London area that came up on the Monster website with a job equal to that in Leeds.
2ndly well done for taking a minor point and making it the whole arguement.
Either there is a London weighting or there is not. My point was that not all jobs carry a London weighting and put in about 60 seconds of effort, to do it. I'm not going to spend 30 minutes searching the net just to make a quick point. If it had come up with HH paying more than Leeds I would still have put it up if it came up first. I was expecting pay to be 10-20% better, as it was the first 2 jobs showed no difference.
So if you want to laugh at the ineptness of HH being in greater London, then laugh at the website that includes it. It could have been barnet, wembley or dover for all I care. If the website search picks it out as greater London then that's it's problem

Greater London is most of, but not all of the areas inside the M25.......The GLA are responsible for the running of the area and the GLA have no say in the running of St Albans, nor Watford.
A quick wiki-check shows.
Watford: Quote bewareshadowsThe borough is separated from Greater London to the south by the urbanised parish of Watford Rural in the Three Rivers District.'"
Given St Albans is further north than Watford, I would conclude that neither are actually in Greater London.
Also, I believe the financial top up to some wages is called London Weighting, not Greater London Weighting...
Hey....London is what it is and in reality, the club can't find it's with both hands anyway, so giving them permission to spend more is hardly a game changer.....the Broncos are a dead man walking

Typo amended.
All I see is people who believe in the "emperors new clothes"
Sorry but RL & SL are naked and would be corpses without the crutch of Sky preventing them falling over and smashing their heads open.
See under Clubs financial failings since SL began.
