And it's all irrelevant anyway. SL would let Saints in even if they played on a park field. They hit all the other targets very well.

Has it occurred to some Leigh fans that maybe, just maybe, whoever produced their last license application simply did a shoddy job of it?

I don't, someone mentioned it a couple of pages back not too long ago. I wouldn't know.

I’ve no doubt Leigh would have had some kind of agreement with LSV Co, they didn’t arrange the build of a stadium, get planning permission etc on the hope that they’d find an end user.



But that’s not how it works. In a previous life I was the involved in a major build (a production facility), we were purchasing it, and paid agreed stage payments to the builders, but I didn’t sign the final agreement and payment until almost 12 months after we’d moved in, and only then did it legally become ours.



Only last year Leigh East (2yrs plus after moving in) were up before the council and threatened to be kicked out of LSV because they still hadn’t signed their agreement. Why and as to whether its been signed now you’d have to ask others.

I'm not sure what Salford had to do with the question, but if Salford lied then they showed amazing foresight in a sport known for moving goalposts to start the lie nearly 10 years before franchising was announced.

Iain , I have no wish to get involved in an argument , Was our application poor ? , who knows , only the RFL as they are the only ones who saw all of them , although it did cost a lot of money and had ' Deloittes ' doing the financials



You know what I am reffering to as regards Salford , the demise of Red City Develoments the day after the announcements was shall , we say , ' convenient ' to say the least

Was Leighs even read? Judging by the bollox spouted by Lewis on Granada Reports around that time it didn't seem to have been. All in the past now. As for Salford starting the lie 10 years + earlier, that was because it was expected that some of the new sky money was to be spent on facilities. None of it was and Salford weren't alone in the giving of empty promises.
