Reading how many people responded to it by being very moved, it has not been universally seen in that manner, but for some, as I described.



Obviously people may feel differently, but I suggest that we leave that for a discussion elsewhere and not on this thread.

What a great person and a terrible loss to the world. Condolences to all those around him.

Exactly how I saw it, people wating to ' do ' something, Very touching.

To his family - condolences - perhaps a blessing in the end.

Whilst I think personally a minutes silence is better than applause I wouldn't for a second say what happened today was in any way disrespectful. People felt like applauding the guy and his life......I'd say that was pretty respectful IMO.

Very moving, the minutes silence started,but the spontaneous applause was exactly that - the vast majority of supporters who were there (including me) joined in.



Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.



An inspiration to many and his name will be long remembered. RIP

There are fictitious super heroes like Batman, Superman and Spider man, but Steve Prescott is a real life Super Hero IMO



Although he lived a very relative short life, he certainly had a good one and he will be sorely missed by the Rugby League family



Steve also went out on his own terms too by showing great courage and Determination by helping other great charity causes before taking self pity into consideration despite his debilitating illness

RIP Steve. A truly great man who has left us far to early.

My thoughts are with his friends and family.

I for one hope the man of Steel is named after him and I am struggling to think of anyone that deserves the name 'Man of steel' more.
