Couldn`t give a monkeys what colour a player is,I would have a full team of blue Smurfs if they played decent rugby.

If there were 100 lorries all carrying players images i still wouldnt bat an eyelid if they were all white players.....as long as it promotes our great sport !

Problem with the race card today is people try an make it an issue when there isn't one for the sake of it !!

This thread reminds of the Tanya Arnold one - another example of the willingness of some individuals to be offended on others behalf.



Have any BME players complained? I doubt it - racism does not appear to be an issue in RL.

I'm not sure the OP was crying 'racism'. I'm also sure that there was no intent by the RFL or the Superleague clubs to puposefully go for an all white cast of players.



I'd like to point out that the RFL have missed an opportunity to bring in more female/gay fans by not using some of the better looking players. You want to see the publicity that the 'David Beckham in his undies' campaign for H&M is getting over here. Some of the faces on that truck would put most people off!

By your own argument 'non white' is actually accurate. It just describes everyone though..

Meanwhile, in the real world where pretty much everyone knows what 'white' looks like (although I'm still waiting for someone to define exactly where skin tones stop being white), 'non white' pretty much includes everyone else - Oriental skin tone is non white as is darkest African and Indian.

That's why.

Fair comment,but as I say ,for instance snow is white,and I have yet to see a person that colour.I don`t know about anybody else but when I am watching a game I don`t even particularly notice what colour the player is.

' campaign would be atleast if not more popular
