| His only redeeming feature is that now, when he gets smashed by another prop, he doesnt mouth off when he plays the ball like he used too, because now, everyone knows hes soft.

| Quote VforViking="VforViking"maybe its time for him to retire, if a boxer got knocked out like that they would be advised to. fair play to him when it happened he carried on playing for a while and that takes guts. before it happened he was the best prop in the world in my opinion and a player most clubs would have wanted in there side. maybe he peaked to soon, most props peak later he peaked early.'"
I agree with this, I would have had him at Saints when Wigan signed him, now though he wouldn't even get on the bench at Saints.
Wigan let Hargreaves go so they could keep hold of Fielden, I think Saints got the better deal.
Something wrong at Wigan IMO and I think you have to start with Noble.

Have to agree.
Fielden is nowhere near the player he once was and as has been said the Mason incident seems to have been a key issue.

They also let Wilkes go as part of the deal.
I think Wilkes go as well. And Wakie haven't done to bad out of it.

| I think Wire should take him on a free
Wigan have of late, a reputation for ruining careers whereas Wire are reviving them.
Mathers is rubbish, right?

In Mathers' case it has a lot to do with the coach at Wire now I think.

| For all the calling of Fielden, I bet he's still one of
the highest paid players in the game. So he wont be to bothered.

I bet if Leeds or St Helens snapped up on a cheap contract the player would improve under a better organised club with a winning mentality.

Yes he will. He is a professional sportsman who would probably give anything if he recapture the form of a few years ago.
