Think this talk wouldn't be happening if we hadn't bottled it against KR last week.
To be honest the SL teams have improved a hell of a lot form and squad wise since the end of the regular season.

I'm not entirely surprised by who's won and who's lost so far, but I expected the margins in both Wakey/Brad and Salford/Leigh to be a lot less. Halifax have been a positive surprise, Sheffield have been on the end of expected scorelines. If you're going to be honest, the series was only realistically about who gets 5th between Leigh and Bradford with perhaps Wakefield being the likeliest 4th placed team.
The acid test for the whole comp is definitely Leigh v Wakefield.

Knew this would happen before long. It would be very naïve to expect the Championship clubs to be competitive straight away. The new system has the best chance of thriving after a few years as the Championship sides start to become accustomed to playing the Super League teams. Right now, it's pretty much a new experience for them.
A Championship team can still finish 5th, win one game and be in SL remember.

Leigh have enough quality to beat some SL sides on there day. Money isn't the big disadvantage in the 7 game series. It's experience! They should of beat Hull KR. Big score lines happen in rugby. Look at Leeds vs Warrington in the opening round of the 8's...
No excuses for them. Leigh and the other championship teams will have to learn, bounce back and put themselves in confident moods for that million pound game one of them may find themselves in. The only way to do that is to try and compete till the end.
