| Huge injustice.
Saints were given numerous pens to march them down field. Brough's drop goal went over (why would he celebrate otherwise), Luke Walsh also says it went over. Why was there no pen at the end for the voluntary tackle? Why don't we just scrap that rule because it is never enforced.
The ref decided that game, not the players. A real shame considering the quality 79mins we watched only for it to be fixed by Bentham.

On the kick, looked good on one angle, looked like it slid by on the other. Ref can only give what he sees. Pretty sure the tech wizards at Sky could conclusively prove that either way.'"
Luke Walsh even said it was over.

| Absolute gash, his decision making in some instances were bordering on deliberate bias/agenda..
The thing is Smith can't even see when a ball goes completely backwards and calls it a knock on WTF? Hudds actually denied a clear try there in the first half.
As Dally ssays, fans are being turned away from the sport by this incompetence..

| Quote Lord God Jose Mourinho="Lord God Jose Mourinho"Pretty much every decision in the last 10 minutes went to Saints. Saints player gets up to play the ball but throws a punch instead, creating a melee, pen to Saints. Saints lose the ball in front of the posts, there's a hand in from Hudds like there is in 95% of plays, zero ball security from Saints, pen to Saints.'"
Nah. The only decision that he got wrong was the one under the sticks to level it up. The Walsh one was a clear pen, tackles him, humps him, then tries to steal the ball, all whilst denying Walsh a quick play the ball.

| It clearly went over.
The penalty for Saints to make it 16-16 was very dubious.
The momentum-shifting penalty against McGillvary that put Saints in position for the sending-off/try at 16-8 should have been against Walsh.
And to put a cherry on top there was a voluntary tackle on the last play.
Laughable.

| IS the answer to the question, "when it's kicked by any team playing against Saints with Bentham refereeing"?

| I heard Noble say they can but can VR judge on drop-goals? From what we've seen on replays it's why they don't go to the screen for forward passes because it looks different from different angles.
To be fair, it shouldn't take 4 attempts to get a DG away so Brough shouldn't just be sulking at the ref tonight.

| The shot from behind conclusively proves it was a DG. It set off on a line inside the post and never deviated from that line. The VR if honest would 100% have had to give it. Bentham was under the posts and in a poor position to judge, and the more important Q would be why on earth he didn't just ask the VR? I don't understand that. If I were a Shudds fan I'd be very upset
