I don't care who made the decision, it shouldn't have been allowed to happen. If SL clubs are incapable of doing what is best for the sport then they should not be involved in the decision-making process.

No, but it has allowed cowardice and self-interest to be sold as a return to traditional values (sadly a return to cowardice and self-interest is RL's traditional values, but it isn't a good thing)

You would have to think that London are one of the favourites for the chop, so what does this mean for RL in the capital? Are the RFL finally admitting defeat?



I just can't see P&R working. At all. Haven't the progression of Catalans and Widnes proved anything? Without licensing, both of these clubs would have been straight down to the championship after their first season in SL, and god knows how much longer it would have taken them to get to where they are now, if they ever managed to get there at all.

SOME SL clubs can't make it work. SOME are doing very well.

I can't see any clubs that could be described as 'not making it work', apart from London who would be failing under any system. Certainly none of the clubs would be any better off from a return to automatic promotion and relegation.

Maybe it's got something to do with the Chairmen who run those clubs and them knowing first hand about the difficulties facing them (and their bank balances) in running a club. They should ignore all those experiences and listen to forum contributors who seem to know how to make it work.

Maybe it's to do with the chairmen/chief executives being incompetent morons who don't know what they are doing. If anyone can explain how any of the clubs could possibly be better off in any way from a return to an illogical boom-and-bust system then please go ahead.

Do people not think 12 teams will increase the week in week out intensity, no?



Playoffs we go down to top 5 most likely, which will mean a serious battle between huddersfield, leeds, wigan, saints, hull, catalans and warrington for the best places, some of those teams will miss out.



Then the other teams will be seriously scrapping to avoid relegation.



People moan about meaningless games and the credibility of the playoffs but this will surely help with both of those issues.

I agree with SL going to 12. Don't want to see the 8 x 3 option coming in though, it's not a good look in my op. Want to see the bottom English club in SL having a play-off with GF winners from the Championship. And CC Final the last match of the season on first Sat. of October. SL Grand Final on second Saturday of Sept.

Clubs are struggling for money as it is. How do they make money? By playing games at home.



We need a minimum of 14 teams and 2 cup competitions to help them do this.
