Turned out well.

The club [idid[/i make a profit. For 6 straight years. It turns out that this was largely due to not spending enough on the squad and infrastructure, but it was a profit nonetheless.





Um... you are aware that one of the reasons we made a profit 6 years in a row was that we [iweren't[/i spending full cap, aren't you?



A word of advice. Probably best to make sure you actually understand what's happened before abusing your sock in public.

And not going to full cap has still got us in the mess we are in...£2million tax bill,£300,000 loss last season,2 bottom 3 finishes and out in a whimper in the 1st rd of play-offs for last 2 seasons....but hey...we made a profit for 6 seasons....would sooner have made small losses,got the infrastructure right and maybe sucessful on pitch at full cap.

Never mind eh? You've always got the profits, who needs on field results?



So tell me, as a fan, would you rather the club makes a profit or would you rather have better on field results?

We were a profitable club. The reason being however was because of a lack of investment in the squad, in youth, in facilities, in coaching staff, etc. we were only going to be profitable for so long, and that's why they got rid. They sucked the club dry, then took the money and left it for someone else to sort out. THAT'S what I'm referring to.



Speaking of myths, I don't suppose you could show us our club's salary bill could you? Because I can't recall us being at full cap for a while considering we kept bringing in players mid-season...



And "easily best" has you in 7th vs 8th last year and 6th vs 7th the year before. You had one good year in 2009 to our 2007, and your 7th in 2008 is balanced by our Cup Final appearance.

James Rule is married to an American lady, which certainly rules him out of being Kath Hetherington's son-in-law.

I'd rather have on field results, and so would the vast majority of sports fans, and NO-ONE has said otherwise. You're inventing your own little arguments to make yourself feel superior. The Straw Man technique.



I wouldn't mind, but it's hardly like a supporter of Hull KR can get on his high horse about "on field results". Like I've said, you've done marginally better than us overall in the 5 seasons you've been up here, but we've been closer to actually winning a trophy. So in this instance, I'd rather be a profitable also-ran than a constabtly propped-up cant stand on our own two feet also-ran.



When your club has actually achieved something, and you've actually got an argument without loads of flaws and inaccuracies (full cap, eh?), then come back yeah? You'd think with the fact you spend more time on the Hull FC board than the Hull KR board you'd actually know what you're talking about...
