He's been the most consistently good centre in the super league era. Lyon and Gleeson have been better at times but not cosistantly (all be it Lyon left). He should only get accolades, and sympathy if his career has ended - despite anyone's club allegiance. He's also always been good for GB/England as well.

I only remember the Cunningham incident, can't remember Senior being done for banned substances?

Gareth Hock gets a 2 year ban for testing positive for a non performance enhancing drug, yet senior gets a £1500 fine for the performance enhancing drug because he said it was used for an illness. Seems a bit weird to me. |

I don't think he was anything other than OK at international level.
He has been a fantastic servant to Rugby League

You missed the bit about Hock's drug of choice being a class A illegal substance.
You also missed the bit about Senior declaring the cold medication he had taken to the testers prior to giving his sample, as Ryan Bailey did at the same time.
Other than that, well done on your accurate summary of the facts and attempt to defend your own player's inability to keep Colombian marching powder out of his enormous nostrils.
I'll leave the tery of drawing a direct comparison in terms of wrongdoing between taking Sudafed and taking cocaine, and the WADA guidelines on punishment for testing positive for each for someone else with more time and inclination to deal with. |

Righto, best thing for any player who wishes to take performance enhancing drugs is to call it s cold medicine and declare it before being tested.
