It seems like every RL event its said that "tickets selling well, or nearly sold out", then in the ground, or obvious to TV, are banks of empty seats......

This.i can't remember ever seeing the RFL come out with the sold out signs only 3 days after the semis and 5 days before the final.Bit of a foolish thing to do really if you have blocks of seats still to sell.

Feel free to. Had tremendous hassle securing a ticket on behalf of my useless brother on Sunday. A chance for revenge presented itself though....he's seated 2 rows in front of the Headingley band - a fact I've neglected to point out to him thus far, despite his hatred of it

People just have to put stuff down don't they. I remember for the 2013 world cup how they were saying it was selling well and we all thought rubbish, I assume cos we were comparing to the previous travesty of a world cup in this country. I turned up at for the Fiji game thinking there would be like 10,000 or something and there was 25,000, turned out to be most successful world cup ever so they were right with those predictions.

Hardly far fetched to think the best 2 supported RL teams in the country playing each other in the GF for the first time since 1998, in a 50/50 game, with the added fact of it being the last game of the Leeds legends,played a ground down the road from both clubs, could sell the stadium out.

Is anyone else still waiting to reciwve there tickets? Still not got mine.

Well there's still tickets available through the RFL website...

As of five minutes ago it technically hasn't sold out. I rang the RFL ticketline and bought three tickets for a friend without any problem. There was a choice of stand as well.



BUT, if it's going to be more or less full, WHY THE HELL NOT use some propaganda to try and stoke some publicity? After all none of the press are going to spot the 500 empty seats, as they'll all be at City's ground watching Uruguay beat England (Or an England side freed from the shackles of Sam Burgess destroying the 5th best side in the entire galaxy in front of 112 trillion viewers in Uruguay alone) won't they!

I bet it's quite lively round Manchester on Saturday night, what with the Rah Rah's coming to town.

If the RFL said they'd found life on Mars, would you believe them?



They are notorious for manipulating figures not to show the sport in a good light, but so that they can appear to be competent when they are anything but.



I'd be very suprised if it was sold out.
