Wigan will still win tonight as they have too much quality and Wakefield's defence is so poor, but we're seeing why Wigan haven't won away for so long.





Whilst I think they'll still win tonight, you have to wonder how far Wigan can go if they can't perform away from home.

Of course they're not bothered. Webster said as much. At any other club he would've been sacked by now, but like Agar with Elston, he's best mates with Carter. As good as he has been for us, one of the daftest things he's done was give Webster a 3 year deal. He's agar mark 2 and worse. At least Agar admitted he hadn't a clue, Webster blames anyone but himself.

Hard to imagine how anyone ever thought Richard Owen would be an international.

I just don't get it, when they stick to playing rugby they look like blowing the opposition away. But away from home they seem prone to constant brain farts (Tautai anyone?) and getting into pointless scuffles.

Owen, Hall and Riley are like a triangle of wasted potential.

It's baffling, at home they're arguably the toughest team to beat in the league. But head scratchingly frustrating away from home if you're a Wigan fan.

I don't get it, we're a totally different side away from the DW. The positive is I don't think its a talent issue and is actually more of an attitude issue which means when the big ones come round (Wire, Saints, Catalans etc) I think we'll be ok.



I thought we'd fly at Wakey tonight though in defence. We've not won away in 9 months and haven't won away in West Yorkshire in 18 months. They know that and have made reference to it and I would have expected far more.

Why on earth are there unprotected wooden poles behind the goal line? If Bateman's head had been a couple inches to the side that could have been a very serious injury.

I agree it's an attitude thing. What really struck me a t one point tonight was when Burgess went in for his 2nd try shortly after halftime. The team gathered around giving halfhearted pats on the backs and they just looked pretty 'meh' about the whole thing, like being there trying to pick up the 2 points was a tedious choir.

Agreed and the same for Leeds with their inane drums, out of tune unoriginal songs and tone deaf brass section. They don't care about others either
