I fail to see how this is good news for Salford, as most of my Reds friends are pretending.
A guy who's come from the cauldron (albeit as assistant) of State of Origin and the Queensland Cowboys, who takes the job based on what he's heard at interview, presumably on what he's asked for and been promised, then actually gets into the post, takes one look and slams the club from top to bottom, then throws his hands up and jacks it in not much later.
Sorry, but this is a sign Salford is rotten to the core. I hear various talk about Wilky and Simms (others will know more than I do) and it's rarely good. This should be a huge season for Salford; the opportunity to turn a corner and hit the ground running at the new stadium. This should be an off-season full of good news and promise, and marketing to the fans. Instead it's looking increasingly like another wasted season lies ahead.
Still, perhaps Noble is made of sterner stuff than Parish and would relish the challenge. If Salford have the foresight to go after him, that is.
