Remember the RUGBY world cup is on, when you move advertise the RUGBY at the new ground, the good folk of Trafford,Urmston and Davyhulme wont know any difference and will turn up in droves - especially when you advertise WILKINSON will be there.

Sky News must have blown this out of proportion... The majority of the crowd were there in Salford colours... Even if 1,000 people turned up from other clubs 9k+ Reds fans is some achievement considering that we get so much stick for low support.

I was at the Willows yesterday (on a corporate session), it was a very good crowd and the majority were Salford fans. A few well known faces in the ground - Andy Gregory, Adrian Morley, Matt King, Sean Long, Ian Millward.

There was actaully around 150 tickets given away for the academy game. Although i had heard you had sold over 7K alone on pre sale which is pretty impressive for salford. I wish you luck in your new home at Barton, of course not when widnes come into town

See, I thought this. Watching the match on TV I thought it was obviously around the 16-17k mark, but the SL website has it down as 10,845

I noticed that and seen as Hull average around 12k I was suprised the crowd was so low. Must have been a mistake.

It was a mistake the official figure was 16121
