Again, I never liked him but anyone who is willing to go out on a rugby pitch and put their body on the line earns my respect. No one deserves to go out like this.

Massive shame, I wouldn't wish such a situation on anyone, regardless of how I may have felt about him when he was playing. If there's a silence at Old Trafford for him, I sincerely hope all the Saints supporters can be respectful.

How sad. He was a talented player and a great servant to Wigan. Not one of my favourites but I could appreciate him as a player. Made a mistake and has suffered for it. Deepest condolences to all his family and friends. RIP.
