Quote WestCoaster="WestCoaster"No other sport in the country can match Queensland's enthusiasm for rugby league. 105,000 tickets sold in a few hours.
10 million viewers for the series and more than 170,000 live. Origin 2011.
The envy of the AFL and union among others.'"
Your quote does not stand up to the facts:
AFL team Carlton have played 4 regular season games at home this season - their combined crowds are 224,755 an average of 56,189, Collingwood have an average of 59,243 for their 3 homes games. Both these teams have an average attendance higher than the crowd that Origin will get on Wednesday.
I take it the viewing figures mean 3.3m will watch each game not 10m will watch each game?
Not sure where you get the envy from?
