Article in todays Star stating that John Kear is on his way to Batley Bulldogs for next season. Maybe not the most reliable of sources, but its been doing the rounds at Mount Pleasant for a few weeks now. He's also been telling various people in different circles he is looking to move into a part-time position from next season. Maybe not beloved by all at BV, but his acquisition would be be a tremendous coup for the Bulldogs.

Any idea where Karl Harrisons off to?

Don't have a link mate, but its been brought to my attention by various people from different circles. Harrison is Fax-bound if rumours are to be believed. He's done a great job for us, but if Kear is replacing him I'll gladly pay his bus fare to The Shay.

I'm a big fan of Harrison, but I also think Kear would do a great job at Batley.

Would be a great coup for Batley. They really are heading towards the top of the second tier in my opinion and it's refreshing to see.

Just a shame the Batley faithful aren't supporting them in the numbers they deserve

Same goes for any club outside SL and a few in SL for that matter.

It would be a great signing for Batley and makes me wonder if Mr Kear has been offered a more permanent media role, hence his interest in a part time coaching role?



Either way, he leaves BV with the respect and admiration of most fans.

Batley are as ambitious as any club in the league. Its just our sick system which holds them back

Too many small team with little support from the fans. Yeah they have the hardcore fans but they'll never get average 8-10k a week will they?
