Referees have always tried to lay down early markers. If the players cant learn he will continue blowing the whistle.

Surely there was more interference on Grix than some of the other incidents? 9 in 14 now. The referee needs to adapt to play-off rugby.

Id agree with Mcrea. You play it as he refs it. The only thing we can ask from him is consistancy. I think he has been pretty consistent so far but we need to see him giving these penalties in the 78th minute. Its the players who need to adapt. |

In origin the referees adapt, could you imagine Ganson reffing an origin game? They'd be 80 penalties.

I disagree, I think 4 or 5 would always be penalties and individually i dont disagree with the others he has given, he just needs to make sure he gives them in an hour. The players know there is to be no messing about in the ruck now. Dont mess about in the ruck then.
If anyone is ruining the game it is Wire who are far too good for Hudds right now. Great performance so far. |
