True. In Pieland it's still the monotonous "Wigan, Wigan, Wigan" song, while at Belle Vue there is the same paranoia & booing there was pre-Wildcats.

You could have had some big fat Bradford supporting B@st@rd change your name to Blue Sox, totally unmarketable, at least the Bulls name is quite easy to market and must have increased your turnover massively.

If he'd REALLY hated you, he'd have called you something like the Halifax Hamsters...

I'm not sure why they disliked the name, I mean it's not as though you can take the name Blue Frox and make it into something less than manly is it? Though I have to say that I took the bit about "big fat Bradford supporting etc" to be a little more than generic, and I suspect that Nigel wood!

I don't think they have much of a problem marketing a team on the sock colour in the US but it's probably just one of those things that doesn't really tranlate on this side of the Atlantic.

I guess the Sox names in Boston and Chicago have over a hundred years history each, and I suppose 'sox' may have been quite a cool name at the beginning of the 20th century... more accepted than in mid-1990s Halifax.

That annoying Blue Sox song the ground pa played after every bloody try in the 98 season and even more so during the 25-12 loss in the rain.

Both the Chicago and Boston teams were called Stockings before they were shortened to Sox. Fax should have given that a crack.
