| Hi, Ive seen the report and yes we'll still be doing it. It's gone way beyond Bradford Bulls and has become the RL community supporting James. Bullbuilder discussed it at their meeting this week, are looking at many avenues in which they could help (and my apologies, Fosterbulls post made me realise I really should have publicly thanked you on here).

| Carl is home from hospital . He has a mini zimmer-frame for indoor use , and a wheelchair for outdoors . He has mastered the chair as only a child can in such a short time . I am unsure how long we will have use of the chair though . Fortunately he is also able to use the stairlift that we have for his mum, so as soon as we teach him which buttons to press he will be able to go up and down on his own .
'Risk assessment' at school rules him out of attending there for 8 weeks because his classroom is upstairs . They can't accommodate him elsewhere , and they are not willing to provide us with work for him to do at home . The reason they give is that we can't educate him in the same way they do it , and I guess to a certain extent they are correct . I haven't the slightest idea about how numberlines work . Although it is a long ime since I went to school I am sure I could sort at least a minimum level of an education for him at home . FFS .. His mum is a parent ambassador at the school and is only 4 weeks away from finishing a training course to be a teaching assistant at the neighbouring school . All we asked for was some homework , and we were ripped to bits and treated like we have deliberately put him in this position . A game of twenty questions regarding him being in hospital twice already this year was fun . I know they have to keep an eye out for kids thay may be getting abused , but in Feb he was in hospital for an eye operation , and this time he was in because he was run over by a car . The questions they ask made me feel like they were thinking I was guilty of gouging him and throwing under the Zafira .
If I was to keep him out of school for so long I would probably get a custodial , but it is ok for them to not allow him any education for three months ( including school term breaks either side of his exclusion) .

The school is wrong here. They have a LEGAL OBLIGATION to provide your child with work. I had a child in my class who was in hospital for several weeks and I had to provide work for him to do in hospital even though the hospital had it's own teacher! You should go and kick some ass. Don't ask but demand work for him, say you will call in every week to collect that week's school work and bring in what he has done for marking.
They also have an obligation to accomodate him in another class in school if his current classroom can't meet his needs, if that was your wishes, what would happen if a child was permanently in a wheelchair for example? But that's another story...

| Quite a few things. We discussed the logistics of this, it's massive and thanks to all the support its garnered already it has a life of its own.
We got the site up and running (see above). We can also state that anyone who donates £100 upwards gets to join James, Baldrick and myself through the very last part of this treck- through the Odsal tunnel. The club are looking to involve a meeting with a member of the playing staff and maybe even some sarnies (Greggs hopefully- fellow Geordies).
Way more to come, will keep y'all posted on here and via @James2Odsal

| Quote Toonbull="Toonbull"I've been delighted by how well a lot of my appeals have been recieved, so I'll make a somewhat heartfelt one. Could any Bulls fans with access to transport (we're not asking you to walk) come see James off from Whitley Bay town centre on May 19? sounds a huge ask I know but when we know what James and indeed BaldRick are doing I'm not sure it is. When we get to West Yorks we know the support will come flooding in. For now though we need to make this as big as possible, in an area where very few even know who we are.
Cheers,
Andy'"

Don't suppose there will be an empty seat in that vehicle will there ? Have arranged a lift up , but would be good to have a back-up plan just in case .
Would the Bradford fan that has sent a Bulls badge for me to wear please identify themself . Would like to say thanyou .
Big thankyous to Colin Lawson , Brian Covey , and Richard the digger driver from Pudsey .
