I actually like the idea of playing the game over two legs and taking the aggregate score.



It would give more money to the losing team and remove the need of booking a neutral ground.



If you have to keep the MPG in isolation, why not give all of the gate receipts to the losing side.



I'd be happy to wager that the gap between the bottom of SL and Top of Championship actually closes. My reasoning is that to improve interest, the RFL have to make it happen. Look forward to seeing an increase in the Champ salary cap and the deadline for signings moving forward. My other reason is that I don't think the RFL want to take on Derek in Court (Bad publicity) as if he wins it will have far reaching consequences. It will be much easier to just appease him whilst retaining a bit of a gap.



There is also a case for a bonus points system in SL now so that we don't get a repeat of this year where Wakefield just gave up. That was a terrible look for the comp, although ultimately very smart.

Appeasement has been shown to not be a good thing. Before you know where you are Derek would have annexed West Yorkshire

It's good to know with his new rental agreement in place with Bank of Ireland that Carter doesn't have to go out hub capping anymore.

Some Wakefield fans appear to believe that this equates to parity with the Bulls on spending power which of course it doesn't. It also is the chairman inexplicably telling his teams fans, "Look how little we spent on the team, aren't you proud".

I am fairly sure that that figure may we have been ever so slightly higher if Tim Smith and his cronies had not decided to go joyriding in the gaffers (allegedly) motor.
