The fact that this post itself isn't melting down now at the fact there isn't even a rumour of a coach coming in, and the "cheap" option is being taken is a worrying sign that nobody cares anymore and the clubs support has been killed off.



look at it this way, a new high profile coach with an overhaul of the enviroment and ethos is a sign the club is planning to progress and grow towards where we once were.



no new coach and keeping MD in place is the cheap option and shows the owners have no ambition and are just there to milk what they can while they can until the crowds drop that far the next admin comes round.



As it stands 2023 Season tickets are a very hard sell.

I suppose I'm keeping my powder dry. Is the recruitment search just a cosmetic thing designed to give the illusion of being in the market for a quality coach? Was it Dunning all along? I have no idea but I think the outcome will go a long way into us all knowing what Nigel's vision is, and if any of us should have any optimism.

Well a lot depends on how we do for the rest of the season. If Dunning turns things around then I wouldn't have a problem with him getting the job. If it's more of the same and then he gets the job then that would be a problem.

How long can we play on a pitch that isn't wide enough to meet the standards? And there is no chance it will be widened again because of the concrete slabs laid down on each side of the pitch.



That to me signals there is no long term ambition.

I like the job Peet's done at Wigan. The game is so stale and drowning in its own excuses and cliches that not having had a full time life involved in playing and coaching pro-RL should be seen as a major advantage.

If all the stars aligned and we put the team and coach together and got promotion I really don't think they'd have us in Super League with a Mickey Mouse pitch?
