Quite. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. McNamara clearly isn't under any illusions after Sunday's match. For half of it we were utterly outplayed and we can't keep doing that to ourselves. Before we start going overboard lets keep some perspective. That said Langley has had a great start to the season.

Thinking back to away at Warrington last year, our pack wasn't at full strength with Burgess away at international duties and our forwards still built a platform for our backs. So with a fully fit pack i think our forwards will stand up and be counted against the fierce Warrington pack and hopefully Langley will carry on with his blistering form.

Yes, the Wigan match was our probably our greatest result since that at Saints last season. And that match ultimately had very little bearing on our season as a whole.

i'm too old & bitter to get optimistic these days, but what the win against Wigan will have done is instill belief that when you are behind all is not over. Something that cannot easily be coached.

Well, there's this thing about us from previous McNamara seasons.



Previously under macca our recruitment has been from the lower end of the table. Meaning, and this is not ment as a knock against any team, that the players were of a lesser quality and because of the teams they played in were use to getting the occasion big kicking.



this ment that while getting such a kicking at bradford hurt it was something they were already used to getting and dealing with so there was no real spur for them to improve matters. But this year with players like Orford et all who have come from clubs with winning mentalities a result like the loss to saints would really sting and they seem to push harder to erase those mistakes which in turn pushes those around them to push harder.



just go back to half time against wigan, look at orford when the camera is on him. you can see it on his face that he knows the first half was not acceptable and he lead us to a great victory.



so here's hoping to more of the same. just maybe without the 20-0 half time scores against us please

Probably a big night in, but I'll certainly celebrate. It was a Sand Martin last year on 15 March, so fingers crossed for this weekend.
