In the first half we looked by far the better attacking team and with Aston and Keyes, Thomas played a full part in that. No he's no Mick Withers but Carney spent the afternoon busting tackles for fun.



On a side note did anyone else notice how Big Mick seemed to zero in on Mitch Clark at every possible opportunity.

Never been impressed with Thomas



A real lack of composure when needed. He's also too dependant on having high confidence to play well. Once things start to go bad, he just falls to pieces.

So has Johnny Campbell gone? if so its a shame he never has had a real crack of the whip..

is a lot better RL player than Thomas and safe has houses.

Re Gale.You go by what you see with your own eyes and Gale at the Bulls had 1 good game in 10 and made horrendous mistakes.I give all the credit in his improvement To Cas coach Darryl Powell who has turned him into a bona fide international half back and the Cas team into one of the most entertaining Super League sides I have seen for many a year.If he isn't the next ENGLAND(GB) coach then there is something wrong.Gale has been superb for Cas and is the Man Of Steel in waiting.As for Oscar Thomas--poor at best.Oh for the days of Mumby at full back.I am glad I was alive to watch his whole career at Northern,best tackler I have ever seen.

Thomas is a confidence player and is more of an attacker. Playing behind our leaky defence must be a nightmare for a fullback with his skill set.



Fact is we're now a bottom league team. If we had a young Mumby now he'd be on his way to another club like any other promising youngster.

Campbell needs to be our first choice fullback. Or at least recruit a better one for next season. Is Moss getting much gametime at KR??
