Potter isn't the issue here. He's already proved he's a decent coach, he doesn't suddenly become clueless once he arrives at Odsal. The issue we have is the players themselves.



MP needed to recruit a large number of players due to the paper thin squad he inherited. As a result he has had to spread the cap thinly and recruit a large bunch of average players, rather than simply making two or three additions of any real quality.

The problem for me is in the halfs, two unproven players thrown in at the deep end

It's the players that are at fault. Potter's record speaks for itself. You can say that about many of our players too but in a negative sense!

I'm sure Potter was the master puppeteer yesterday and dropping the boys off tackles, or that's what you'd think!

what's he ever done?........ok we got to the grand final again last year..(only to lose again)..but that was daniel andersons team potter inherited.

We are in more similar of a place to the Catalan situation than the Saints situation Potter took on.

No, sarcy. I reckon the club will be in a better place when he leaves though. I aren't aiming to win SL this, or next year. I'm looking for steady improvement, with our excellent juniors flourishing, like they did at Saints.
