I might be wrong, but i'm sure I read that Wigan and Castleford have a huge gap between home games at some point in the season. Can never understand why such a big gap between games occurs.

Pretty certain Wigan request there big gap every year so pitch can be relaid at end of football season. Not sure if we've qrequested puts too to give pitch time to recover after 80's concert.

I though you were referring to the summer break the players have been on for the last few weeks.

Must admit, on the face of it, it seems daft to start [summer rugby? so early and then have whacking great big gaps in what should be, weather and people friendlywise, the best part of the season. Maybe the World Cup has something to do with it but it seems to be similar, if not [iquite[/i so bad, most seasons these days.
