Could not believe the size of him in that U19s game! Physically stood out over the rest.

Is Charnock any good? I remember the Wire fans being all wounded when we snapped him up from a Warrington amateur side after he had been expected to sign with them.

Charnocks not developed liked id hoped to be honest. Was a great Loose forward for Rylands but played full back last year and it now seems he is being used at stand off. He still shows plenty of talent on the pitch and aggression but im not sure if he'll make it at stand off for the first team.



One player to watch out for is Dave Hewitt. Very talented stand off.



Also a couple of players for the u16's im looking forward to seeing are 2 new signing, Danny Richardson signed from Widnes and we have signed a young lad from the Midlands in the name of Ricky Bailey. already a England youth international and just represented England at u16 level in Union.

He certainly looks promising. He stands out in that team. I hope that he is promoted to the first team next season. Imagine what he could be like if he did full time training.



Another player that I thought was good, was James Tilley. He runs in with the ball very hard and makes good yardage. I only just realised that he was promoted to the first team when Magennis retired.

Great prospect, expecting big things from him.



Dave Hewitt is another who has caught my eye coming through the system, made his under 19s debut against Huddersfield the other week.

I'm not sure about Hewitt. He was quite a big lad at 12 or 13 years of age but doesn't seen to have grown much. Only time will tell.

Yeah, plays stand off mostly these days.

there were plenty bigger than him at that age and wasn't one who relied on his size too much. He was always in the top one or two players in his age group in the north west, right up to the end of last season, where he earned his England call up. He's a very good prospect.

David hewitt will make one hell of a stand off , yes his development has been slow due to an injury.

But now he is training and playing again it will not take him long to catch up.
