| Quote Rogues Gallery="Rogues Gallery"Brandon Costin.'" I don't think many reasonable fans made much of the Bradon Costin incedent, tbh.
As you say, you can't really compared last friday's incedent with the now infamous Newton one. Its really quite unfair (as well you know) to apply the tinted, knee jerk reaction of the masses to a group containing at least some sensible posters.
I will say that if KC's managed to break a guy's cheek with that one inch punch from his ball carrying arm, he's even tougher than I gave him credit for.
I expect them to throw the book at him for this inexcusable assault. After all, he's a proven thug - in 2004 he punched nat wood and in 1996 he shoved Lee Penny. Mind you, we all know how soft the discipliary panel are on saints after they failed to hand leon pryce a ban for when he held back brian carney during the wire game last week.
T'was a bit naughty, mind.

Player intentionally has a jab at the Wakefield player and as such is guilty of misconduct; however the Panel are giving him the benefit of the doubt that contact with the eye is accidental and as such consider that it is appropriate to deal with this matter by way of a caution

| It is embarassing.
So you can lash out but not intend to hit their eye and get away with it? im not having that.
I usually stick up for the disciplinary, I think they take a lot of unfair stick but in this case, they have no defence..poor verdict, should have been 2/3 games.

| Quote Rogues Gallery="Rogues Gallery"On here over the Terry Newton incident and the one by the Huddersfield player Brandon Costin.
They should be banned for as long as the player they attacked is injured was the cry.
Will you then be asking for the same for Cunningham?
It appears that Stosic has fractured his eye socket and cheekbone and could be out for 2 months.'"
Drama queen or what

that's a little embarrasing, cue dozens of posts on how its a fix'"
Its not embarrasing.
Taking the "alledged" injuries aside, there was nothing in that at all.
You have got away with far worse incidents than that before. I bet Pryce gets away with 3 or 4 a season worse than that. That should be more embarassing.

| I fractured my left eye socket making a tackle in amateur years ago. It was in the last quarter of the game. It just felt like I'd got a shiner it hurt no more or no less so I saw out the rest of the game. It was only when I got in the changing rooms, looked in the mirror and touch the area, that I realised it was a bit more serious.

| Quote The Chair Maker="The Chair Maker"No its not, plenty of people dont know they have injuries at the time they do them.
I work with a woman who broke her neck falling off a horse, and didnt know she had done it, until weeks later after she passed out, for no apparent reason.
A player can get a bang to a face and it goes a bit numb, but think nothing of it, only later after the match or following a further knock can a player notice the injury.
James Roby for example broke his hand on friday but didnt stop playing. He proably only noticed the injury after the match was over and the adreneline had left his system.'"
Maybe Long had one before the newton incident then...
