If you move Wello to 13 where are Cunningham, Roby and Moore going to play?

| Quote Mugwump="Mugwump"It's not a case of 'could' - Pryce has been playing like a loose forward for three years. The similarities between his game and Sculthorpe's are uncanny at times.'"
Except Pryce's main assett is his broken field play and his running game, which was not Scully's main assett. Also, Sculthorpe could pass a football, kick a football and organise his team mates, all skills that are completely alien to Pryce.
In other words, the two are about as similar as Ellery Hanley and Barry Ward.
Leon Pryce is a broken field player and just hasn't got any of the organisational skills or tactical brains required to play a pivotal role such as 6 or 13 unless he has a 7 at the side of him that can do all those things for him.

| Paul Sculthorpe in his prime would make the current Saints side champions.

| But Ellery was not a good passer or kicker. It took Graham Lowe to figure it out.
Bring in Andy Gregory to 7, Edwards at 6 and Hanley to 13. The best midfield triangle ever to play for an English club side.
Add a hooker in Dermott who could pass accurately and quickly, job done.

| Why are people comparing Pryce to Sculthorpe. They don't even play the same position. Sculthorpe is a Saints legend and one of the best players to ever pull on a shirt, Pryce isn't, simple as.

Not at all. If you analyse the way Pryce attacks the line, when he attacks the line and how he directs the team around the park (barring the kicking game) you'll find an awful lot of similarities between him and Scully. Indeed, I'd say Pryce has stolen a good bit of his game.
Understand that there's a difference between playing LIKE Scully and achieving his END RESULT. Leon could never hope to achieve the latter, not least because he lacks Scully's physicality. But you can't deny that when he hits the ball early and on the burst from the dummy half on second or third tackle there isn't a sense of Scully about him.

| Pryce needs an organising seven next to him to play at 6, whether he'll have one that can do it to the required level next year is another question, he hasn't had it towards the back end of this year and it's shown. Whilst he may not be the greatest 6 to play the game, you don't play the position in a team that beats the Aussies on their own turf if you are completely incompetent and unsuited to it. He has the ability to play at 6 as long as the team is set up to allow him to play to his strengths.
The combination of Eastmond and Wheeler at half back next year would be disastrous for both the club and the players though.

Couldn't agree with you more. Look what happened when we tried it with Robinson & Brown.
Look how long it took Leeds to really kick on with Burrow and McGuire (Dunnaman was used to cover both positions for a while to let them bed in)

See above regarding the difference between playing LIKE Scully and achieving Scully's results. No one denies Leon lacks much of Scully's subtleties, but in ATTACKING THE LINE - especially with ball in hand he is remarkably similar to Scully. Like Scully he is almost always the first person to hit the ball on third tackle close to the ruck and on the burst when it looks like the pack is going nowhere. Like Scully he is the primary pivot from twenty yards in. One dummied his receivers whilst the other steps away from them.
