I think i've seen him move into the pack once or twice this season when they've been on SKY.

It is a cheek! He won't get it reduced to nothing, although knowing the discilplinary they might reduce it to 2!

The disciplinary can also increase the ban for Ablett having the cheek to appeal.

He may think that by appealing the ban may not come into force until it has been reconsidered and may only start after the semi.



I vaguely recall something like that happening to someone else a while ago.

The hearing for the appeal is set for Thursday so he will know the result before Thursday night.

Why is that then?

He gets the maximum amount of matches for the charge brought against him.

His past record is whiter than white. So surely it is worth a punt. Even Shaun Wane felt it was not a deliberate dirty tackle. Don`t worry he will still miss the game on Saturday.

This debate was brought up with a Leeds fan over on C & W. The punishment recommendations are only a guideline for the tribunal panel. Should they feel that the crime is more severe than was first thought then they can mete out any ban they like. Leeds were always going to appeal because for some reason Ablett decided to plead not guilty in the first place

Should make for some interesting debate on these boards should the ban be doubled or maybe even reduced to 1 game

I suspect that the 'not guilty' plea was to the charge of [ireckless[/i use of the forearm, as opposed to [icareless[/i.



I think it's reasonable for Ablett to appeal given his previous record. If I were a betting man I'd say it will be reduced to two matches.



Still won't help us on Saturday though.

Toss a coin for Cunningham and Roby, although I think Roby is an 80 minute player and will probably start and be moved into the back row when Cunningham come on.



Meli could also play centre with Gardner on the wing, but that would mean omitting a young forward to accommodate Flannery in the pack, and they have done more than enough to deserve their place in the team.

Thats what i'd like to see. With the form Roby has been in, he has to start and i'd like to see him play the full 80, he's been outstanding. Obviously he will cover at hooker when KC goes off, and when KC returns he can move back into the back row.

Returning a player that has been out for a few weeks must be a risk.



I'd go with the same as last week with Gidley into the centres and Falnnery into the pack.



That means Lomax to miss out along with Magennis or Ashurst, most likely the former as Ashurst has more experience in such games.



Lomax will only be in if Foster is not IMO.
