It was a penalty. If it happened at the 50 yard line it would be a penalty and if it happened at the in goal it is a penalty. I am struggling to see why you can't grasp that.



A player attacking the head of a payer in the act of grounding a ball (whether intentional or not) is a penalty, and, thus, an 8 point try. Simples.



Also, Although it could be argued that Bradford beat a team. It actually seems like Saints were beat by a team that was missing 12 players and hadn't won at home all season. oops!

If Whitehead had been knocked out would Foster have been off?



The circumstances may have been different, but when Raynor knocked Tomkins out in the CC it was red. He made a lot more contact, but he was going to knock the ball out (if Fosters entitled to try and kick the ball, surely Raynor was allowed to have a try at knocking it out) both missed and connected with the head.

Foster was close to the ball though, and the ball was in open play, not being carried.

Just watched both incidents on the superleague show. The kick to the head was a penalty. The Elima tackle was late, he hits with his entire upper body, and his elbow is pointing down. 1 Match ban. If the ref had balls he probably should have sin binned him, then it would've been punishment sufficient.
