The beer throwing that was going on by the Saints fans bahind me wasn't on really. I know it was only Calsberg but still, every time a drop of beer hits the floor in vain a puppy dies. Such things would not have happened in my day!!!

Had trouble there last year i was in the caneige stand and got told not to shout for my team when we had scored a try discrace got threating with being kicked out.

Hi,
I attended Headingley for the Leeds v St Helens game on 19th March 2011 and, along with a dozen or so other supporters, i complained to the stewards during the first half about 2 drunken Leeds fans who were shouting such things like "queer" and "s" at the St Helens team. This is a hate crime, along the same lines as racism.
Eventually, halfway through the 2nd half, a good half or or more after first being alerted, a group of stewards went up to the two men, and i was horrified to find them being left on the stand!
I called the steward and he asked if i wanted the police involved and would i make a statement. I replied i would, so then he told me i would have to make myself known to an officer as he wouldn't be getting one. Being on crutches, i found it difficult to navigate the stairs as it is. He claimed he couldn't throw them out "as he hadn't heard them", but ignored the numerous complaining fans.
Eventually they were ejected, but not early enough. Had they been shouting racist abuse they would have been kicked out straight away!
I trust i will hear back from yourselves regarding this matter,

| This is the reply i got back
Quote Hope you are well and thank you for your e-mail. I am sorry to hear of your experience and I am sorry that something was not done immediately to eradicate this. I understand that you reported this matter however very little was done until late on therefore I will be taking up this matter with our stewards and stand supervisors. In some cases unless it is heard by the stewards, then we are not in position to eject fans despite surrounding supporters being able to hear them therefore the reason you witnessed 2 stewards go up to the gentlemen and not eject them was probably to give them a warning that they had complaints and if they continued and it was heard they would be ejected.
Here at Leeds Rhinos, we have a fans phone which links directly to our control room on a match day and people are encouraged to text the number (07500 312832) to report any such incidents anonymously. This means if you provide a location we can put someone into the area who are able to catch out the culprits. In this case however the steward should have used their initiative to do something like that and again, I will be taking up this issue with them,
Apologies again for your experience and if you have any further feedback then please do not hesitate to contact me – should something occur on a match day and you do not feel it has been dealt with, I am always here on site so if you go along to the ticket office they will notify me or you can request a steward to radio me and I will come across
