Plenty of talent left out there as well. Martyn for Pryce as a ball playing stand off would suit the pace in the back line. Sticking Gidley or Iro in the centres wouldn't let the team down, and there have been too many good forwards to mention.

I found it very hard to pick the bench as there are several players in contention, apart from Graham who had to be in there for me. The starting 13 definatly picks it's self, IMO.

He gave us 18 months of complete toss though as well. '97 and up to his sacking in '98 he was frankly an embarrassment.
Long is not as naturally gifted as Bobbie was, but he worked hard on his game and has made himself one of THE major ingredients of the most successful spell in the club's history. I'd have him in my team ahead of Goulding any day.
On another note, I can't believe how spoiled we've been with centres. The fact that not a single person has picked Martin Gleeson shows what lashings of quality we have had in that position. |
