unlikely - as someone else said one of Wigans best players, had he been a fringe player - sacked immediately, being a strike player, I think the club will stand by him through his troubles and help him with counselling etc etc, much as saints did with Pryce

Because unlike Hock alot of the other players doing the same don't just have sawdust blowing about in their skulls!



Hock is a moron and has got whats coming to him but he's not the only player doing this(far from it) and it's a problem for the whole game.

Good god. People do some silly things in life, don't they.



We'll say things like "what others would do to be in his shoes" etc, but at the end of the day twenty something rugby players are prone to doing some pretty silly things with themselves - drugs, spit roasting, D and D, assault the list goes on.

Even taking the glory(well even at Wigan he gets abit) away and the fact that it's such a dream job you've got the fact that a lad like Hock who's thick as a barndoor is earning something in the region of 120-150k a year which is an unbelievable wage for anybody.



He should feel honoured and privaliged that he's got such an amazing career that people would do for free but the guys that thick he doesn't realise it and has thrown it all away!

I doub't think many would disagree with that. Of course people are going to make jokes about it and have a laugh but most would agree that is is bad for the game on the whole and the players who take the risk are stupid for not only risking their own careers but also for risking bad press for the game.

It was a genuine question. People are claiming it's rife but only the odd one gets caught. The two things don't go together to me. Are the tests fiddled? If so then why werent they fiddled for Hock?

No, either loads of players are not into it, or something is being fiddled somewhere.
