This thread brings back a few memories.
Agent Mulder will probably know the Billinge (Mi********t) family, but they were staunch Wigan fans and wouldn't go to Knowsley Road as they begrudged giving their money to Saints. They wouldn't even shop in
St. Helens.
A mate if mine who lived in Pemberton, when working at Bispham Brick Works, Orrell, would not get on the St. Helens bus to go to work, he'd wait for the Billinge bus to come along.
I'll bet there are many stories from Saints fans in a similar vein.

All Saints allocated tickets sold out, North and East. Plenty of tickets left amongst the Wigan allocated areas. Hence, I wont be going.

'Fraid so ... dont go in JJB shops nor the ground .... but suppose the most serious was storming into the old Billinge hospital as my daughter-in-law was about to have her second child, and asking for her to be moved to the other end of the ward, the end closest to St.Helens so as to be a sintellener, only for my daft son to register the birth in WIGAN  |
