I'll never understand the hate aimed at Coldplay other than people trying to be cool because some celebrities like to hate them too. There's lots of music I don't like but I just ignore it and don't listen to it. I also tend to decide whether I like any band or not based on listening to them not on listening to other peoples' opinions of them.



If you don't want the tickets don't buy them but no need to slag off other peoples' taste at the same time, your opinion is no more or less valid than that of the people that love Coldplay or any other band for that matter.

Sorry if I came across a bit over the top but when I saw the the thread title I knew that some people would go on there purely to slag the band off. No other band seems to provoke that reaction it just seems to be a bandwagon that people like to jump on.

Well, I love them and have got tickets to see them tonight for the 9th time, they are great live. Whoever bought the tickets will have a super night tomorrow. They are playing 1 3/4 hours, 9.15 until 11pm.

£50 each??? I am now officially old!! is this the going rate for gigs now?

It used to be that bands lost money touring but made shed loads from record sales, now it's the other way round.

I remember paying £3.50 to watch The Verve at The Citadel and even Nirvana was only £11 although both were about twenty years ago lol.

It is a joke the price of tickets, but I guess that's the price paid for downloading free MP3s

Is it just me or do Coldplay just continually play the North West of England? A mate of mine is a big fan and it seems like he's watching Coldplay at least 4 times a year.
