on what basis was smith a bad international coach? He can't be blamed if we dont have the talent pool to beat austrailia. And being picked 8 times at international level by 24 yrs old is pretty good by anyones standards

Smiths bias towards the Wire players was terrible, we have a good select 20 or so but you have to select them not 'jobs for the boys'.

Is that why he picked tompkins and eastmond over Myler and briers for the 4 nations? The only person i questioned the inclusion of was westwood, but i had to conceed he played well in the 4 nations

Where as we sent Ainscough out on loan, even though we dont actually have two wingers that are better than him, we did it just because we hate bringing young players through.



Fact is Amos Roberts is better than Ainscough, as is Pat, its exactly the same as the Moore situation, the only differences being the nationality of the players in front of him, and their position. Ainscough showed why Roberts is better than him in the Cas game, look at the Cockayne try, I'd rather have Ainscough making those mistakes at another club, then coming back having learnt from them.
