It's a little hard to decipher saints re-signing announcements but if it's a 5 year contract from now then it's until 2018 when he will be 33 yes- he's a saints lad through and through, puts any doubt to bed, and the same age sinfield was this year, and will give him time to develop his replacement in the same way Kieran did for him.

Like I said on another thread, the was no way Roby would leave saints. Like I said, I spoke to Roby few years back about rumours of him going the NRL and he said he loves saints, loves the town and loves the fans.

Great news. The contract length is about right for me, 33 will be a good time for us to re-evaluate his contract, the five years gives us protection if he does decide to go to the NRL (which I doubt) and also time to develop his replacement.

Why do people assume that going to Australia simply must appeal to everyone? You say it's a lack of desire or ambition, what if his desire ambition is to lead his home town team to a grand final/challenge cup win? Or what if his desire and ambition is to play out his whole career with the club he loves?
