Anyone know much about him ? I've seen his name linked with us in a few threads now and thought he migh deserve one of his own





I assume he must be quite young, top SL clubs dont normally go looking for old timers in the lower divisions. I know if I ask Rogues I'll find out he is a life long Wigan fan but is he good enough for Saints?

No he's awful stay clear

People have posted things like - "the best talent outside SL" or indeed "better than a lot in SL".

Leythers reckon he's ignored approaches from SUper LEague clubs in the past to stay loyal to Leigh.

I guess it depends which SL club it is, obviously I dont know his reasons but as he would be seen as a development player and potentially a gamble I doubt he was offered big money. Like I said the club may have made difference , maybe he doesnt want to travel and it was a yorkie team or London/Crusaders ??

He's a hard driving, quick, ball handling prop who makes regualar clean breaks and has a good defence. Plays 80 minutes most games too.

Leigh fans won't be bitter if he does go to you, i'll wish him all the best anyway, he's in my opinion the best player Leigh have had since Micky Higham, maybe better.

Hes good enough for any SL side. Just becuse he plays in the Championship doesn't meen he doesn't have all the quality of a SL prop if you did sign him you would soon see he's good enough.

Not for a second doubting a players quality but I think it takes time for most players to make the step up, the speed and intesity is greater in SL so if we did get him we'd all need to be patient

Don’t think so, as far as I know he’s always been at Leigh, been playing regularly for the first team since he was 17, doing that in the front row even in the Championship is a tough ask. He’s very loyal, he refused to go to seeking trophies etc with the better club of St Pats as a kid to stay with his team mates at New Springs (I think it was), and although no Leigh fans would begrudge him the opportunity to play SL, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if he decided to stayed.

At his age if a team like Saints come knocking and he refuses he would be a fool imo, if it doesnt work out he will get a club back at Championship level and if it does work outhe'll be quids in so it's pretty much risk free.

I’m not saying this about Chris as I don’t know what he does, nor how much he gets paid (by Leigh or anyone else), but not everyone wants to be a full time RL player, have you ever thought that its possible for some players in the Championship, to earn more playing part time and having a ‘proper’ job the rest of the week, than being one of the poorer paid SL players?
