| My posts are consistant. I said Ellis was better, I have still not deviated from that just pointing at the holes in the points you made to try and discourage my argument.

| They are different types of second rower. Eastwood is certainly superior to Ellis going forward. Ellis' defence is probably as good as any backrowers in the world, Eastwood may not do as much of the dirty work, but he puts in some real bone crunching tackles. I am looking forward to watching Greg throughout his Leeds career, he's just a fun player to watch.

| The debate will remain hypothetical for a good ten weeks now that he is on the injured list.
Does that mean that when he returns we will have to assess from the beginning again?
What implications are there?

| Which one of Delaney or Eastwood will get to the 10 appearance mark first to become number 721?, at this rate the answer might be neither.
What is it with these Leeds antipodeans, not tough enough to play in SL.
Buderus, Donald, Delaney and Eastwood have all had their problems fairly recently. Lauitiiti and Webb too to an extent come to think of it. Ironically only the one with the girl's name is tough enough to cope in our comp.
Perhaps in future Leeds should 'Buy British'.
Eastwood knew the risks when he took shirt number 15 at Leeds, at only 10 weeks out he's got off lightly....... for now.

| There have been a lot of posts comparing Ellis and Eastwood with Eastwood coming out fav (in a lot of the opinions)
In my opinion Ellis was more consistent and secure when he had the ball in hand, where Eastwood is a bit more forward in both attack and defence. But it's still a bit too early to be making definite comparisons between the two players at this point saying which one is the best.
IMO Even if you think Eastwood is the best you still have to agree that Ellis is a hard act to follow and will by sorely missed by Leeds fans and players.

Ellis was great for leeds and i believe that Beastwood will also be a great aquisition but we won the league without either of them last year and whilst they have undoubted quality maybe they wouldn't be as missed as some would think.
FWIW i think it's only fair to compare them when Beastwood has completed at least the 3 yr deal he currently is signed to.

I completely agree. It's only fair to compare them properly when "Beastwood" (great name) has played for at least a year or two or as you said his 3 yr deal before you can see how he plays properly when he has been in the team for a much longer time and has been playing in Rhinos style for a longer time.
(I have to admit though I am a bit biased because I am a big Ellis fan but am still trying to keep an open mind with Greg to try and be anbiased)
