No one asked did they?
Not won a right lot in the last 15 years or so have you?
Quote Rogues Gallery="DHM"If we were back in 1985 on an internet board then Huddersfilelds great team of the 50's would be as relevent as what some were about to achieve, just like I never took any real comfort from Leeds domination of the late 60's and early 70's, it's simply rediculous. Do South Sydney fans brag about being the greatest ever team in Australian rugby history? They would be a laughable as someone (probably not even born) cacking on about what their club did 30 years ago in any context. In fact, this is probably more effort than I should have bothered with as it is.'"

| Analysis: tougher side won in the end. More good play-off rugby from Wigan. Worthy champions.
Watche with the sound down. Sky muppets could therefore say what they wanted as far as I was concerned.

| I was neutral until dirty Westwood landed that punch. So after that I was cheering on Wigan and so delighted Green won the MOM award. Wigan were the best team and played the best rugby and nice to see another good British coach with many home produced players defeat an Aussie with a bought in team. Smith was his usual manic, complaining self in the stands and it would have been fun to see if his eye twitching was more than usual in the after match interview, but too embarrassing to wait for. Taxi for Smith?

| Thoroughly enjoyed the expression on the face of ***** as Wane and Harris walked down the steps past him as they headed to the touchline near the end of the game. It just made cheering for Wigan to win that bit more satisfying.

Indeed, and well said.
Supercoach Smith has now lost 3 Grand Finals.
On a more positive note, that's still less than his brother has lost

I don't know if you caught it but Stuart cummings well and truly owned smith. When an obstruction decision went against wire they flashed to smith and it looked like he didnt agree with the decision. To which cummings retorted [i''Well he was in the meeting which agreed it a few years ago, so he must have a short memory''[/i.

Wigan were exceptional. Tremendous character and mental toughness to not panic in the face of such a deficit, fantastic execution of their plays at a time when they needed to take almost every chance.
If only england could be so well drilled and clinical against the aussies

| The way they move the ball wide is special and is very similar to how the aussies do it.
You know what they are going to do it, but it's hard to defend against

I totally agree.
Maybe Phil Clarke's rugby gods were watching & they took their revenge on Monaghan & Ratchford?
Though if the Ratchford incident had preceded the Westwood punch then I'd have supported the Wolves.

Have you never noticed the "twitch" is just a partial closing of the eye (like people do when they are concentrating) and goes with a turning of the head so he can hear what's being asked of him?
He's probably just a bit deaf when in background noise, you pillock.

On balance what did you think of Hansens 'tackle' on a great young British player, who left the field and never returned?
Smith manic? A little OTT. I think the excitement of the final must have got to you.

| I agree with Cornetto.
TS's facial contortions are twitchy and manic by nature.
Stressful situations merely serve to highlight his 'can't look you in the eyes' weirdness.
OTOH, McDermott's twitchy hand movements during interview are far more creepier.
