Like the name-change btw, it's as if you view Leeds as a bigger club than Wigan these days? Respect.

Can't understand your reasonings behind that tvoc, if you would care to explain further?
Personally I don't see the point in a so called respect campaign been in place if the game does not stick to it. The whole idea is that everbody agrees to it, from clubs, fans, players, officials, etc.
If somebody acts out of those lines then they are dealt with as leeds owl posted.
I could get into the nitty gritty how expressing a view on a ref after a game is not as bad as provoking highly charged supporters, but that would be irrelevant. The fact is that if you are going against what the respect campaign lays down then it should be dealt with accordingley. |

My reasoning is that I don't believe a player's individual profile in the game should play any part in a disciplinary ruling that follows any incident. The disciplinary panel said it did in Senior's case (precedent set?) so will they do the same in Tomkins case given he's currently the highest profile player in SL?
I don't think it should.
To clarify, the comment is not in relation to any part of the Respect campaign, just as to whether a player's profile plays a part in punishment.

That's fair enough. So you wasn't saying Tomkins should not be banned? you were just saying it does not matter what offence it should be the same for all.
Personally I would agree, although I would say live on national tv is about as worse on the scale as you could go. |
