I'd rate Offiah's as better myself but yes, he did set up a great try. Beyond that he was a lot less effective than I'd feared he might be. So I stand by my comment that I hope he plays a lot better against the aussies because that level of contribution is not going to be enough against a much stronger side.

I got my e-mail off to the RFL compliance manager this morning. I pointed out to him that the "Respect" campaign must work both ways, if fans are being banned and their clubs being fined for obscene gestures/chanting then the same must apply to errant players. A ban for Tomkins and a fine for Wigan for failure to control their players.

There's nothing really that funny in highlighting a player's inability to grasp the scoring system in RL. Who cares if he's Carol Vorderman as long as he helps England stuff the Aussies.

I recall Keith Senior attracting a RFL ban based on his 'high profile' within the game. I disagreed with that decision (on that basis) then and I'd disagree with a ban for Tomkins now.
