Re earlier points from Marty gurr, I agree would be surprised if Hartley or Newman were played as in first year in the u19's, only 17.



Is Eddie's lad, Nathan waring still around or harry boyes must be 19 and further down the development track. Guess Ryan jones would have played if was still at Leeds.



Would guess ward to centre will be fallback position.

If Golding and sutcliffe miss out

In the event of Sutcliffe and Golding being out i would keep our successful half back partnership unchanged for this one as they are the corner stone of our improved attack which is now scoring points and it would be silly to risk a return to the rudderless stuff that was the cause of our lack of attacking options previously. If injuries force us to select players out of position it would be better this happened in the centres where we should select players that can stop their opposite numbers as a priority eg Ward, C.Smith). Unless the U19's have a player that is ready to play FB at SL level then I would prefer Watkins to take over as his defence is good and he will have the space to join the attack.



We should not underestimate Widnes because of their league position and our attack is also our best form of defence and will give our tacklers a rest (against Warrington we made almost double the tackles as against Hull)



I would also think of giving Parcel and Cuthbertson some rest time on the bench if possible.

The 19s lost at Hudds 36-24. Mikolaj and Jack Walker was both named in team but neither played so potentially playing Monday. We shall see.

Hopefully. Would rather Walker plays than shuffling all over.

I would because we don't have much room to manoeuvre in reality and it we have to go makeshift in the backs then surely you try and keep your forwards strong to compensate?



I know Gotcha said other clubs wouldn't select in the same way over Easter......however most of those teams have a league game 4/5 days later against fellow SL teams and will have to be quite strong if they want the 2 points. We on the other hand have a game against lower league opposition at home where we can rest a lot of players and some guys can have like 10 day gap between the next league game. Even Salford and Leigh have tricky cup games so the only team really in the same boat as us is Huddersfield with their easy cup fixture and they'll be going as strong as possible over the 2 Easter league games because of their league position.

That is my thinking too and that we will have all fit players doubling up on monday
