Even sadder that he finishes with "on behalf of Salford fans everywhere we salute you" but on the Hull FC board he finishes with this sucking up pandering effort that Hull FC posters rightly shot down
"So on behalf of our end of the city, Jamie Peacock west Hull salutes your 5 year masterplan! "

he is a strange guy and isn't he the one who is meant to be a journo? i have never seen a sensible post or thread from him so i find it hard to believe.
On Peacock- it hasn't worked out for him obviously and the coming out of retirement has backfired badly. I have to say as much as i love and respect the guy as a player he hasn't covered himself in glory with comments about the format and the MPG when he has totally contradicted himself on what his thoughts were regards relegation just a couple of years ago. Still, nothing he does in the game from now will taint his legend at the club for me, that is secured same as the likes of Schoey who many like to ridicule these days for his outspoken rants but that doesn't take away the fact he was a great player for the club and will always remain that.

Yeah a journalist and now works for Leigh Centurions.
For Peacock I agree. Think it will be a bit unfair that he will seemingly get the lions share of blame for a club that had been going backwards anyway and the likes of Campese and Kelly who will have taken up a chunk of SC but spent so much time injured or missing or unreliable who were signed before he got there.
For a guy who spent all his career winning stuff or right up their competing it must've been a culture shock to be struggling (times at Leeds obviously mid 2011/12 we had struggles but not to the same degree) and he clearly hasn't handled it well but it might make him better for the experience in the long run to have such a blow.
Could be an example to those who want to see our retiring players straight into prominent roles at our club that it might not be a bad idea to let them go cut their teeth elsewhere first.

| It was a big ask to come straight out of playing into a key role at an underachieving club like Rovers who probably have had more internal issues than even he realised. I get that he wanted to challenge himself and take himself away from his comfort zone, it was a challenge and it hasn't worked so he will have to take stock and consider his next move carefully. At least he has his involvement with the England set up straight away. I still think he has a future in the game beyond playing, but his next move is now critical for his own reputation.

| Quote chunkyhugo="chunkyhugo"INOUTGod I wish Salford had gone down instead of Rovers. Maybe next season more than one man and his dog will actually turn up at the AJ Bell to pay them some attention. Fair play to what Mr Koukash is trying to achieve, but sadly he is flogging a dead horse.'"
Why?
Koukash, although he's outspoken at least he's got some ambition. To bring top players in and to turn salford into a grand final team. Hull kr are so meh. They've been sleep walking along for too long now, the extent of their ambition to beat Hull and get into the playoffs.

| As a matter of fact, I found myself feeling glad for Koukash. Much to my surprise.

Err, yes it is Jamie. And the Chairman can't stop you resigning. If you think you should go, go.

Yes I imagine every time Peacock won a GF there was quite a few tears shed by the losing side (notably Jon Wilkin). Sinfield shed a tear or two in Challenge Cup defeats.
