Didn't Rowley have some personal issues when he played in Australia?

Leigh seems like a team full of aggression. Heard lots of rumours about the source of that aggression. Leigh's intent in the second half at Wakefield was obvious and it worked, just as it worked on Halifax and the officials yesterday.



It's a shame because they have some good ball players and do play some good rugby. Instead of admiring that I find myself just waiting for the opposition to give them a bit of a hiding.



That said they are a talking point and an attraction. I'm thinking of going to Odsal to watch their replay with the Bulls because I suspect the game contain far more oomph than the sanitised Super League.

They are like a fit pub team. Wakefield should have slaughtered them, and were on the way to doing that, but got pulled into the niggle instead of walking away and letting the ref continue to penalise them to death. In fairness to Wakey we did exactly the same last year against them and forgot how to play rugby for 70 minutes.



The game has moved on, for better or worse. I have to say I get nostalgic about the game from the time I started watching, but watching Leigh for 10 minutes is a good reality check. If/when they enter SL everyone will start looking at them and working them out and then they will have to learn a new trick.

I only saw the game live and without Dumb & Dumber's comments + replays and IMO Leigh bullied the game and intimidated and obviously inexperienced ref.



Hock is a liability, whichever team he plays in. There is an obvious reason why a lad of his talent can only get a gig in the Championship and it wont be long before Leigh get sick of paying the wages of a player that spends more games banned than he actually plays.

Leigh won't change how they play. if they do get into Superleague they will go with what is familiar plus it will manifest further as an underdog team in a larger set-up.

I make no apologies for being a paid up member of the old school.

Years ago cheap shot merchants similar to hock would have been wacked then the game would carry on without any hand bags at ten paces.

Can't do that these days, as it usually results in the retaliator spending time sat on the bench or in the dressing room.



If Baldwinson had laid one on Hock on Sunday, you can bet which one of them would have got sent off for it.



Against better sides week in, week out in SL Leigh will get hammered. It's much easier to bully and intimidate opposition players and referees at that level than it is trying to do it every week against experienced players and officials.

Unfortunately andy you are correct, retaliation is not allowed. I would have liked to see hock slap Kurt Sorenson. Methinks that's the last thing hock would do in this life.

Looking at Leigh and rumors of us looking to sign one or two of the Leigh team. Can't see anybody who is good enough to sign for us. We shall how things progress if they arrive in super league.

Well well well, The Leigh hate brigade is out. As regards Hock, i agree with what your saying. But the rest what you say is absolutely total carp.Can you lot not analyse a game properly? Crikey,we had gouging, then Maitua nearly knocks Emmitt's yed off and doesn't even get a penalty when the ref was stood right in front of it, and now Maitua has been charged with a grade B offence. If you care to watch the game again you'll see that Fev came with a game plan to niggle,get under our skin,and slow the game down, and the incompetent ref allowed it to happen.And all you can say is McNally wind up merchant for shouting at the player for knocking on. And let me remind you that if you play Leigh with that game plan, we will not be bullied.

Oh and by the way ,I've yet to see peacock drive a ball in and tackle without without his elbows up.
