| Quote tvoc="tvoc"I guess this must have been your game. I remember it well, in the days when you stood at the back of the Boulevard and tried not to draw attention to yourself. We had to run (in record time) for the last train home and my mate had collected a couple of hundred progs from the shop (lovely lady although her name escapes me) and his bag weighed a proverbial ton. Don't to this day know how we made it but what a great feeling - with Tony Currie the Leeds hero on the night.
Hull:
Gary Kemble
Steve Evans, James Leuluai, Garry Schofield, Paul Prediville
David Topliss, Peter Sterling
Lee Crooks, Shaun Patrick, Paul Rose
John Muggleton, Steve Norton, Gary Divorty
Subs:
Fred Ah Kuoi, Andy Dannatt
Try: Schofield
Goal: Schofield
Leeds:
Paul Gill
Neil Hague, David Creasser, Tony Currie, Neil Hunt
Rickie Lulham, Kevin Dick
Gavin Jones, Trevor Clark, Trevor Patterson
Gary Moorby, Roy Powell, Terry Webb
Subs:
Mark Conway, David Heron
Tries Currie (2)
Goal: Creasser'"
This was a fixture I remember extremely well. Why? Because me and a mate didn't make it to the game. We caught the train to Hull which stopped at York along the way. On reaching York station, the front two carriages of the train continued on to Hull. The rear two carriages of the train terminated at York. Nobody told us! There were no announcements. We were sat on one of the rear two carriages
Having made our way back to Leeds to drown our sorrows in several boozers, a phone call was later made to find out the result. Needless to say, we were both cheesed off having missed the Loiners finally beating Hull.

Best thing they ever did for us was move to the KC. We're virtually unbeatable there.

Unlucky.
We were there from the early afternoon to rifle the programme shop by appointment (Lee Crooks asked us what we were after, while stood in the car-park three hours before kick-off - he loved that club) and we never usually took the train, we must have been proper afraid to leave the car. Still it worked, should have tried it again.

| The look on Danny Ward's face was worth the admission money alone.
As if to say 'What did I do that for.'

| Quote Rhino Bucs="Rhino Bucs"If you read some of the comments I wouldn't be surprised if the FC fans weren't realistic in that they were well beaten by a team that had no subs. They are a fairly disillusioned bunch. No club is immune from the one eyed kings!'"
We were well beaten and you won't be the only ones to do that to us. Being realistic I'm just glad you were understrength and picked up some injuries during the game (I don't mean it in that way) or it might have been a cricket score.
I didn't boo either - I just shook my head and cried into the beer I'm not allowed to have in my seat now

A game I missed to go drinking with some colleagues. Not my wisest decision, for more than one reason.

I had to rewind that to make sure I heard it right. What a dipsh[ii[/it.
It also made me chuckle how every time Leeds would break the line from quite far out, or put a kick into the in goal they'd comment... "AND WHITING IS THERE AGAIN!!! Outstanding!".... Erm... he was playing at full back guys. I don't think it's unfair to be expecting him to be there in those situations.

Perhaps he could have given Brent Webb a couple of lessons ahead of last week...
Dropping on a bouncing ball when the boots are flying and you're moving at full speed isn't technically difficult, but it's sometimes hard to resist your own sense of self preservation telling you not to be so bloody stupid.
Was it Rob Burrow in the second half who tried to fly-hack a bouncing ball back to one of his own players rather than put his body on the line?

I'm sure Whiting being the class FB that he is would of fielded both Bulls kicks on the 3rd and 4th tackles whilst filling in the gaps in a 12 man defensive line at the same time.

Why - given the size of the in goals at Cardiff - did he feel the need to play in the defensive line at all?
IIRC for one of Whitehead's first half tries he was out of position from being third man in to a tackle that was virtually complete anyway.
