It's all opinions isn't it, but I profoundly disagree with you on this one. JJB is one of the coaches directly responsible for the current state of affairs. It's not like he walked through the doors last week. He has no business being anywhere near a leadership position in a sporting organisation that should aspire to be world class. If he wants to be a coach he needs to start far lower down the ladder and earn it (as he undoubtedly did as a player). Agar did the the honorable thing in stepping down and if JJB wants to trigger the kind of cultural change that he is forever wittering on about he should also step down at the end of his hopefully brief caretaker stint. Sorry for ranting.

As for JJB, I understand he was the only viable choice right now, but he needs to be gone as soon as possible. As you say Arthur, he's been around this complete collapse of the club both as a player and then a coach. We need root and branch change. No more acceptance of mediocrity from top to bottom.

The situation is Shi#e. We have no guarantee of a win in the next 5 games, the next 5 games the opposition will also note that playing Leeds is a game they can win. Last night we had little or no idea, we were way off the pace, 5 try’s to none and they bombed another 3/4 try’s. Clueless.

Am I correct in saying that Furner, ( like him or not) said we need to get rid of the shi#e so they got rid of him. No one could make up this crap. The rebuilding of the team continues for the seventh year, and we are no further forward, in fact we are going backwards at an alarming rate.

We do have some good players. Sadly some of our best are injured, and its just highlighted how awful some of the others are. The new coach needs to identify those just not up to it, and also those who are just toxic, and look to move them on as soon as possible. Sadly we can't buy our way out of this mess, so we'll have to milk the garbage along for some time. But cards need to be marked and no more second chances, or re-signing "good lads" or players who have just been around a long time.

Our lack of depth means we can't just drop half the team. The problem is the 'chaff' know they don't have to perform to keep getting picked. All we can do is try to remember these games and individual non-performances when it comes time to renew contracts, but its going to take a couple of seasons to winkle out all the hangers on unless we can do some deals at the end of the year or threaten some players with ending their Leeds careers in the reserves.
