Yeah, I was in that corner too. Bloody awful place with its own climate
Saying that, the coldest game I remember going to properly was Leeds Tykes vs Fiji (god knows why they were playing) on our Birthday quite a few years back. It was -2 when I we got out of the car and I remember getting a burger at HT and being able to feel it. I dont care about ridicule tonight... Im wearing gloves godamnit!

| There was a cup tie at Halifax in the late 80's where 1/4 of the pitch was frozen like glass - the players just avoided it. We had a snowball fight at half time with the Fax fans - that was pretty baltic. Coldest I've ever been though was one night at Post Office Road, my brain thought my body had dropped off.

I was at that game. We had to break the gates down to get in. Billy Boston scored two seventy five yarders (non of this metric stuff). Leeds won 13 - 11, Dave Bolton (it may have been Don Platt) broke his leg (no subs then) and Eric Ashton missed a kick to draw the game.

Indeed it was. The best bit was (weather aside and the fact the game should not have taken place that Sunday afternoon) it was a fantastic win and a little against the form book. Halifax were a decent side in the mid eighties.
When Leeds had a good win V Halifax I'd usually take a trip up just beyond Odsal top to the first newsagent that stocked the Evening Courier and this was their headline the following day:
Peter Fox also and quite rightly IMO, spoke out in the YEP over the decision to play in those conditions:
The match formed an integral part of the epic 7 game Challenge Cup run of 85/86 that ended with a semi-final replay defeat at Elland Road V last night's opponents. There should be a book written about that campaign and the author should be Jeff Grayshon.
