You may be correct but I can honestly say of all the places I've been it's the first time in this day and age i've come across racism in a packed pub.

Having lived Leeds for 5 years before August, I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt it happens!

I witnessed one of the funniest things of all time in Hull yesterday. As we were entering a shop on Anlaby Road a lad pushed a young girl up in a wheelchair. The girl looked terribly ill so I stopped to let the lad in before me to get back to his partner. No sooner had the handbrake gone on the wheelchair than the girl sprang up like Andy in "Little Britain" and hurtled into the shop. She purchased one pan scrub, a giant size swiss roll, one newspaper and a packet of cigarettes. I watched in amazement as the girl exited the shop, sparked a cig up for her and her partner who was now sat in the wheelchair, before she retook her seat and was pushed back down the road. Now, I've seen a lot in my time living in Leeds but, that was like something off candid camera.

Yeah can't say I've seen anything like that!



Closest I'd say was last weekend when we did the Otley Run dressed as movie stars and my mate was dressed as Patches O'Houlihan complete with wheelchair. People were moving out if the way of the bar for him and everything!
